Lauren Golden Jaeckel

Laurie Jaeckel is an associate with Reilly Pozner LLP.

Laurie focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation. She has worked on complex business disputes involving several companies, from family businesses to large corporations. She has experience with motions practice, e-discovery, taking depositions and preparing and defending depositions. Laurie has an active pro bono practice. In this capacity she has served as Special Counsel for the State Public Defenders Office and represented a Defendant in the Denver County Court. She has also served on several committees of the Colorado Lawyers Committee.

Before entering private practice, Laurie served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Carlos Lucero of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit where she gained valuable research and writing experience as well as exposure to diverse areas of civil and criminal law. She graduated first in her class from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was a Chancellor’s Scholar. Laurie was also an articles editor for the Denver University Law Review, winner of a wide range of scholastic excellence awards and competitions, and a student attorney in the school’s civil litigation clinic.

Laurie earned her undergraduate degree with highest honors in American Studies (with a minor in History) from Northwestern University. In addition, she was a Fulbright Scholar in Cape Town, South Africa, and co-founded an undergraduate lecture series on race, poverty and inequality.

Between college and law school, Laurie was a housing counselor for Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and a legislative aide to Colorado Sen. Suzanne Williams. She is a Colorado native.
