You should speak with a bankruptcy attorney as soon as possible. Bankruptcy may not be the only solution, but it might be right in your situation.

Has your doctor written the letter? Did the agency say what more information they were looking for and why your doctor's letter wasn't sufficient?

Your mom can trim the trees, but cannot trim them so much that the trees are killed. Your mom should make a claim through her homeowner's insurance...
