As an attorney I cannot violate attorney/client privilege to dispute the allegations alleged in this review. However, most attorneys are usually fired by their clients and are not forced to withdraw. When I attempted to dispute the review I was told: "Please note that we do not verify the information in client reviews. All reviews on Avvo.com are the responsibility of the reviewers, and under 47 USC 230, Avvo, Inc. cannot be held liable for making Avvo.com available to the reviewers. We do not investigate the content of reviews, so typically would not accept documentation. " I spoke to the legal department and they advised that they can only remove the review if I provide them with a court order. I certainly have no intentions of suing my former client. Avvo suggested that I solicit reviews from other clients for their site. I am not a subscriber to their services and do not wish to be affiliated with this service in any way. I have requested that I be removed from this site, but Avvo advised that they are pulling my information from public records. I keep deleting the contact information because I don't want to be inundated with calls from prospective clients on this site. If you're searching for a good attorney, I would not rely on a website to advise you whether an attorney is good or not. I would speak to friends or colleagues for recommendations of people they've actually used. That is where I get 100% of my clients. I have a very specialized practice area and I'm well respected by my clients and colleagues.
