I WOULD HIRE HER AGAIN

I've never been a fan of hiring an attorney. I am a single father of a wonderful six year old daughter, and I'm 39 years old. I thought I knew my situation better than a hired hand. I have been involved in a custody case that has spanned over four years, and have been handling it on my own, poorly. I... have lost a lot. I made the decision to start researching attorneys, and came across Modern Law, namely Kylie El-Wailly. As soon as I hired Ms. El-Wailly, I started getting some sleep at night. She has done a very good job for me, and I have finally received some favorable outcomes. From what I have learned, the facts of family law are not as important as the WAY those facts are presented. In other words, it doesn't always matter what has happened, if you don't understand how, and when to report those facts accurately to the court. Ms. El-Wailly has a very good knowledge of how and when to present relevant information to the court. There were lots of times I felt one way, but she felt another, and she was right. There were things I would of brought up that were irrelevant, and would of irritated the judge that she prevented from reaching his ears. She acted as a "filter" of sorts, listening to my gripes and complaints about what has been happening, then condensed that long-winded rant into a short, concise, on-point-message that made it easy for the judge to understand. She took the emotion out of what I wanted to express, and presented only fact. This was invaluable. Trust me, it's easier said than done. When I represented myself, no matter how much I prepped myself and told myself to control my emotions, I never could. I would get into court and hear the other party use misleading statements, statements I felt were maliciously untrue, and the emotion would come pouring out. I would routinely lose ground in court because I irritated the judge. Not because I was necessarily in the wrong, but because of my lack of understanding of court proceedings. Ms. El-Wailly changed all that, overnight. She understands when and how to speak to the court. She was able to provide the facts to the court in a way that didn't make him mad. She even got him to change two specific rulings, in my favor. The judge doesn't make a habit out of making a decision, then allowing himself to be convinced to change his mind. You have to really present good LEGAL cause. Ms. El-Wailly has done an extremely good job for me. She walked into a situation where I had already lost respect from my judge because I represented myself wrong, and I believe she has been able to change his opinion of me. The rulings have finally shifted, and he seems to be ruling more fairly now. If you're in a similar situation and need professional help, Modern Law and Ms. El-Wailly WILL HELP YOU. She also has a great support staff. The team at Modern Law was always there to help when I needed something, they never left me hanging. Even at times when my attorney was unreachable, the staff did what they could do to provide assistance as soon as possible. Everyone was polite and knowledgeable. This firm was all-around a good choice. In the end, family court and child custody is not fun. It has been the single worst experience I have ever gone through. Ms. El-Wailly took an unbearable situation, and made it better. She's not a magician. She can't control the outcome, or make the judge's mind up for him. But, she was very helpful in knowing what facts were important to present, and most importantly, she knew law and procedure. These qualities made her worth more than the money I paid her. She did a MUCH better job for me in court than I did for myself, and my child will be the one who benefits from her help.

Excellent attorney with your best interest in mind

I was recommended by an attorney, (who is a friend that doesn't practice family law), to Modern Law. After using them to file my primary motions, I ended up hiring Kylie El-Wailly to represent me in a custody case. She was respectful of what I was looking to accomplish. I'm was a single dad, with var...ious issues that required me to seek full custody of 2 of my kids. She can deal with any issues that might arise, is always ready, prompt, and organized, as is her paralegal Rylie Julander. She is an available, more than capable attorney, who can handle anyone as a trial litigator. Thank you Kylie for the great work. I would highly recommend Kylie to anyone, especially you single dads out there, who might unfortunately need someone on your side. Billie Tarascio has put together a great team at Modern Law

Made a horrible ordeal a little easier

I relocated out of state and needed an attorney in AZ to help me through the process of filing for divorce with a small child. The first time I spoke to Kylie I knew she was the attorney for me! She's organized, prompt, firm when needed and very kind. She worked with me through email and phone, since... I was out of state, and guided me through the painful divorce process. She was very prompt at answering all my questions and getting information to me about my case. It was extremely stressful due to the fact that the other party was so difficult, but Kylie did an amazing job putting my mind at ease and taking care of things. I highly recommend Modern Law, specifically Kylie, to anyone.

Excellent, knowledgable and prompt

I was referred to Modern Law when my marriage of 20 years came to an end. I was so devastated and lost. I met with Kylie and she had all the answers I needed. She was excellent at communicating with me. Everyone in the firm was professional and knowledgeable. My divorce was a bit complicated. Kyl...ie fought for me to ensure that I was taken care of while I rebuild my life for my son and I. The cost for this firm was much less than I had expected. I met with several other firms and was discouraged by the fees. I was worried that I would need to represent myself while my ex had great representation. I received top notch representation and feel I got an amazing price. My biggest compliment to this firm is the communication. I had hired another attorney several years prior. I never could get a return call or e mail. I paid more money and the communication was so poor that I dropped my divorce and waited it out. Modern Law is the complete opposite. I had return calls and e mails within a reasonable amount of time, sometimes within an hour. That's unheard of. If I hadn't of hired Kylie, I'm positive that I would have been taken advantage of and lost what I was I need of when all was said and done. I highly recommend Kylie and all of Modern Law.
