I received a letter in the mail from this company stating that they were going to issue a capias for my arrest if I didn't respond to the letter within 5 business days, due to failure to appear in court . I called today and spoke with a lawyer by the name of Kevin McCaughey. From the beginning of the... conversation, this man was yelling at me and wouldn't let me get a word in. I was trying to explain to him that another debt collecting agency had reached out to me earlier this year and that I've been making payments to them. Kevin demanded me to stop mentioning the other companies name because he has no idea who the company is and implied that I must have been scammed. He also told me that I was wasting his time and that he was just going to issue a capias for my arrest and shortly after ended the conversation. Needless to say the issue didn't get resolved because all he wanted to hear was that I was going to pay the debt. I have no problem paying a debt I owe however, it seems as though I am paying more than one company for the same debt. This is something that he didn't allow me to explain to him. As a person that serves the community his behavior was very unprofessional and unacceptable.
