Let’s talk Kerry o’ Connor! I wanna start from the beginning i was looking for an attorney because i was being railroaded by by two different subjects. I was tired of this instantly but could not get anything done myself so i looked into family attorneys. I looked up 5 and went to the “consultations”... of these attorneys and they were all the same with huge buildings and free consultations. Well non seemed to really fit and i felt I would be paying the price for these items and i felt like a number. So it seemed so far out to get help so i was just gonna let whatever happen to me happen cause i was extremely frustrated with this huge issue. Then having small talk with friends and one family member i heard this same name over 3 times Kerry o’connor, she did this for me and my famil. I felt i need this lady in my life! I was like ok i need to check this out i have nothing to lose so i did i set up a talk with Kerry and it was not like the rest she closed the door and we talked she not only asked me about my situation but wanted to know me as an individual and not just about my case I instantly knew this was my fit and i knew she had integrity because she has a passion to represent a person that is looking for an attorney that is a good parent, that’s honest, in good faith, reasonable and fair. I was shocked and hooked at the same time. I was like what? Am I hiring you or you hiring me? A lot of people wanna have a client and get paid for whatever the client wants cause the customer is always right(So we are told) but is it right? The moral of this is she is gonna make sure its right and not just say ok and watch you fail. She’s gonna fight for everything you deserve. i had probably had over 10 court appearances with Kerry the first major one was a really big deal and was for relocation. If this was accepted or won however you wanna look at it this case would be over by this one decision and over for me. This relocation was over 5 hours long and was extremely intense. As i am sitting in my chair next to my attorney that i have not seen in the court hearing yet and this was the first go around my hands were sweaty and i was nervous about the out come. Kerry could see my worries and nervousness. She patted me on the shoulder asked the judge for a min to talk to be and leaned over an said you are and amazing dad and one of the best daddies i have ever represented (cause of all the facts i had provided) i had this warm feeling come over me i wiped my tears and i was ready to rock and roll. I had this amazing person here that was not gonna let anybody walk on me and let me look like a joke or a piece of garbage. Then my turn of being cross examined by The opposing counsel was over. Now it was my attorneys turn to cross examine their side. When this went down I almost felt bad for the other side my lawyer was a beast cause the lawyer across the table did not know when to object to protect their Client and did not know the statutes like my lawyer did. My jaw dropped. i looked at the other attorney he had to loosen his tie cause it was getting hot in here and needed a napkin to wipe his face. I felt on top of the world i had hired the right attorney to fight for me. Their were times that i would feel down cause lets face it litigation is hard on a family and relationships. I would call Kerry let her know how I’m feeling she would slap me with words and tell me everything i needed to hear and the reassurance. I would be back in the game! Kerry would call me out of no where and i would think oh great what has happened now? Nothing just wanted to check on me. Kerry will let you know what she thinks is going to happen with the next case and pros and cons if you decided you wanted to go another route but 100% of the time she was correct on the outcome. One time i made a different decision she told me pros and cons of it and what might happen but i said i want this and she was ready to stand by me and let it rip. Kerry is #1 and i won my case!

I retained Ms. O'Connor right after I filed for divorce pro se. I thought that I could handle it on my own, but then realized I needed help when my ex started trying to financially control the situation and the drama escalated. Despite ENDLESS attempts to slander and discredit me, and make false acc...usations/official claims against me, Ms. O'Connor was right by my side. She is thorough, detailed, and most importantly, HONEST. She is a rule-follower to the very end. Some say there is no such thing as an honest lawyer, but with Ms. O'Connor, that is exactly what you get. Everything from my side of the divorce was above board, even in the face of my ex's dirty tricks, manipulation, attempts to garner sympathy with the judge, intentional delays, losing/firing his attorney, and then continuing on pro se. At every turn, he tried to protract this process, defame me, and disparage my parenting, but to no avail. My divorce is final today, and I couldn't be more satisfied with Kerry's performance. She is my attorney, but I also consider her both my ally and friend. I can't recommend Kerry highly enough. If you are on the right side of your divorce/child custody issue, she is the right attorney for you.

I will be short and to-the-point. Kerry (yes, we were on a first name basis after an almost 3-year divorce) was absolutely the perfect attorney! My case was never-ending and she worked tirelessly for me. She was fair and straight-forward with her advice. She was flexible with my work schedule. I appr...eciate her more than any review can convey! I have sent numerous friends to her and will continue to do so. My ex is a former Family Law attorney and made my case extremely difficult. Kerry put in the time and effort to come to a Final Agreement that was the best situation for my three small children. You will not go wrong hiring Kerry. She is the best!

I had the opportunity to first meet Ms. O’Connor to assist with employment disciplinary issues. Ms. O’Connor is very knowledgeable in the Officer Bill of Rights, which ensures that a law enforcement agency internal affairs agency remains in check and does not crucify a law enforcement officer withou...t due process. Although I was disciplined, my ultimate goal as a client was to retain my job and she ensured this was the outcome. Ms. O’Connor is very law enforcement friendly and well known in the law enforcement community. Ms. O’Connor was the first person I ran to when my ex served me with paperwork. I set up my consult and Ms. O’Connor was able to take the time to review my case and gave me hope. Ms. O’Connor is an “Epic” attorney in the courtroom, mainly because of the long hours she spends on trial prep prior to your date in trial. Ms. O’Connor was able to help me stay on track during mediation and lock my ex into many things such as “Shared Parental Decision Making”, and equal overnight time sharing. Ms. O’Connor is a father friendly attorney, so if any guys are looking for an aggressive attorney I highly recommend her. Nothing brings me more satisfaction then seeing the look on my ex’s face when knowing she did not get the upper hand in court. A lot of people may only have one chance to fight for their kids; if you need an attorney then Ms. O’Connor is for you. Reading some of the other postings on this AVVO about Ms. O’Connor, I can’t help but crack as smile as I read the posting “Great as my ex’s attorney.” A lot of attorneys can put up a good show by blasting off motions after motions. It gives me great satisfaction when I see Ms. O’Connor challenge any incoming frivolous motions presented by my ex’s opposing counsel. During my trial, Ms. O’Connor had the opportunity to proffer against my opposing counsel. I was completely blown away, all the hours she put into my trial preparation paid off. She was able to speak exactly how she pleads on her paperwork. She does not use cookie cutter pleadings most attorneys use during the initial filing phase. I mention this because the wording Ms. O’Connor uses is verbatim from the pleadings she files with the court. In closing, ask yourself if you want a courtroom warrior such as Ms. O’Connor who will spend the time reviewing several hours before mediation or preparing days before a trial or hearing; or do you want an attorney who will meet with you 30 minutes before your trial/hearing/mediation date to discuss what your hoping to achieve? One can compare a child paternity or divorce case similar to an all out war. With that being said, I would definitely want Ms. O’Connor on my side and ready for battle. As a single dad, I am so thankful for the fight Ms. O’Connor put up for me and my children every day.
