The good news: I'm very happy with the seasoned attorney I later hired to replace Kerlin, which I was forced to do after this shiester basically stole $7500 from me in the form of provably fraudulent billing charges he'd invoiced against my month-old retainer. When I first wrote Kerlin an email to ta...ctfully yet meticulously detail all of his blatant invoice "overcharges" (a.k.a., fraud) and to request reimbursement, I took care to copy both the name partners of his firm, Afonso & Archie, in the message only for A&A to respond by blocking my phone number shortly thereafter. Thankfully, the replacement firm I hired not only provided excellent legal representation that was infinitely better (which, admittedly, is a low bar to clear here), but it's now also trying to help me to get my money back from these sticky-fingered sleazy balls. If I could give zero stars, I would. You've been warned.

Kerlin Hyppolite was my attorney for my Final Restraining Order hearing. My ex filed for a cross and my attorney was very underprepared and I felt unrepresented due to this. While he did get the FRO granted against my ex, the judge also granted the one against me. Ultimately, I hired another attorney... to appeal the decision and my new attorney won the appeal.
