Biography
My name is Katie Bourassa. I worked in county and state public defender offices doing everything from representing people charged with misdemeanors to non-violent and violent felonies. I have also represented people on direct appeal convicted of various types of homicide and other violent felonies. Finally, I have represented people on post-conviction facing the ultimate punishment-death at the hands of the state.
I realize I said “people” a lot and that’s because you do not lose your humanity merely because you are charged with or convicted of a crime, no matter how serious the alleged crime is.
I fight. I live for the fight. I love the fight. I will fight as hard as I can for you. While your case may feel uncertain and overwhelming, know that I am here to FIGHT for you and only you.
