Before graduating from law school, I earned an M.P.A. and a secondary teaching certificate. I spent the next five years teaching middle school language arts and humanities, coaching basketball, soccer, and rugby, as well as taking students on a variety of outdoor education adventures.
Working as a teacher made me more adept at multi-tasking, efficiently delivering information in a variety of ways, and maintaining grace under fire. I credit my competitive drive, time management skills, and willingness to step outside my comfort zone to the time I spent balancing school and Division I college soccer at Northwestern University.
One of the most difficult, but rewarding, experiences in law school was preparing for and then completing my first trial in juvenile court. As a Rule 9 intern with SU's Youth Advocacy Clinic, my partner and I defended our first client on a criminal charge.
I graduated from law school and passed the Washington bar exam in 2014. Since then, I have been working with the wonderful people at the Shaw Law Group in Seattle. My practice is currently focused on education law, estate planning, and general civil litigation. I also regularly volunteer with the KCBA walk-in legal clinic.

"I too went to law school with Kasha and she was a ray of light in what can be a dark, dark place. She is as sharp as they come but also as kind as they come. And boy howdy can she write. Her background is in education so we could talk about language and persuasion and she's just brilliant. I heartily endorse this attorney!"
"I had the pleasure of attending law school with Kasha. While in law school, I witnessed her intelligence, dedication, and passion for issues such as education. I know she will be an amazing advocate for her clients. I fully and confidently endorse Kasha."
