Karen Lawrence Puccio

Even before becoming an attorney, Karen Lawrence Puccio enjoyed a successful legal career. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Criminology, Karen worked for five years as a paralegal before arriving at Cory Watson Attorneys as a case manager in 2007. After seeing first-hand the impact attorneys at a prominent law firm can have on people’s lives, she was inspired to do more.  

Karen earned her law degree at the Birmingham School of Law and returned to Cory Watson where she has focused on the areas of Personal Injury, Asbestos Litigation, Products Liability, and Mass Torts. Involved in a variety of high-profile cases, Karen was instrumental in obtaining national settlements and verdicts against several manufacturers of defective medical devices.

Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Karen grew up in the small town of Centreville 60 miles outside of Birmingham. With such deep Alabama roots, Karen gives back to her community through her passion of the law. She serves on theMembership Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association and has volunteered extensively through the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program, which provides free legal services to low-income citizens unable to afford attorneys.

When she’s not practicing law or volunteering in the legal community, Karen is an avid follower of Auburn athletics and enjoys making her world-class chili for her family and fellow Auburn fans.
