A high degree of unwavering comfort

I first met Attorney Rook by phone in October 2010. I filed an EEOC appeal against the Postal Service in 2008. At the time I was pro se (representing myself) and had performed the discovery and met all the deadlines. Once the case got to the pre-hearing phase and the Postal Service refused to sett...le, I knew I needed legal representation. I contacted the Law Firm that Attorney Rook was working for and after consultation and reading over many pages of documentation, they offered to represent me believing that is was a winnable case even though they were not involved in the discovery phase. Attorney Rook was very professional and was in constant contact with me at every phase of the appeal. She listened to my concerns and even considered some of my suggestions. Attorney Rook came across as candid but not overly confident or arrogant. She took a personal interest in my appeal and subsequent appeals that followed which made me feel a high degree of unwavering comfort as a result of her professional work ethic. After a 2 day hearing, the Judge made a discrimination finding, which put us in the position to appeal other aspects of the case for which we are still awaiting a ruling. Throughout my professional dealings with Attorney Rook since 2010, I always believed and trusted in her knowledge, skills, desire, ability, and commitment to see justice done for her client.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
