Julie Erin Manser

Julie started out as a good attorney. When I originally met with her she was professional and seemed to have a clear understanding of how to handle my divorce proceeding. My divorce was finalized in March. I had not yet changed my name back to my maiden. In May I reached out to request a certified co...py of my divorce decree so I could change my name. At that point in time her office instructed me to instead have another form completed. It was a petition to retake my maiden name. The IRS office in Philadelphia would not accept this form. I called back to speak with Julie as I wanted to align on where the misunderstanding was. Julie would not take my call and instead I spoke with a paralegal who was disrespectful and brash. After that I again asked for a certified copy of my divorce decree. When I was billed for that service the rate was double any other travel fee to go to the courthouse. I sent numerous emails and kept Julie in copy. She never replied to any. The office staff that I spoke with were all extremely rude and insulting. This may be viewed as a billing issue, but I want to be clear that the total fee was less than $300. It was never for me about the money, but rather about a lack of accountability. Julie hid behind her office staff and allowed them to communicate in a manner I found to be very inappropriate.
