Jonelle Lacy

Jonelle is a transplant to the Atlanta area after living in several states from Arizona to Maryland. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Arizona and earned her Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Jonelle’s primary focus is in Intellectual Property concerning Trademarks, Patent and Copyright. She has extensive experience in Trademark Office Action responses and Trademark Oppositions with TTAB. Jonelle also has Pro Bono experience in Landlord/ Tenant law, assisting tenants with their rights against landlords.
Prior to Law School, Jonelle spent ten years as a Neuromonitoring Technician. As a Neuro Tech, she monitored spinal and cranial nerves, during surgeries, to help keep the patient’s central nervous system in tact post-surgery. During law school, she was a student member of the Georgia IP Inn of Court. She also served as a peer mentor to incoming law students. Jonelle was also the recipient of the CALI Award for Patent Law. Her scientific and medical background brings a different perspective to navigating the law and also better helps her analyze the complexities of Intellectual Property law.
Jonelle is licensed in Georgia. When she is not hard at work, on the law, she is passionate about health and fitness and was a fitness instructor during Law School.
