AVOID this attorney!!!

We hired this attorney and his father in May, 2015, paying $10,000 on a contingency based fee, outlined in written retainer agreements for our strong Will/Contest case and also malpractice against the attorney who rewrote my mother's will and trust. Our case was dismissed almost three years later du...e Jonathan's failure to question the deceased's inventory and his filing of the Trust Contest several months after the strict filing deadline, as stated by the judge and documented in the court transcript. The statute of limitations had run out for the legal malpractice case. After Jonathan's last appearance in court on our case, he stated "I don't do much of this. I do mostly personal injury". However, his resume shows that he worked as a Trust Associate at Northern Trust Wealth Management from 2003-2006. His father described him to us as his Trust Associate with high recommendations and his resume shows his title as Senior Associate for Novoselsky Law Offices in 2015. In hindsight, Jonathan seemed to have little knowledge about wills and trusts as evidenced by his mistakes. Yet, missed deadlines are inexcusable. He received interrogatory questions from the opposing side but did not give them to us until days before the due date. His father tried to remedy his neglect of our case by filing a case with the Appellate Court. However, the court affirmed the lower court's decision, citing that Jonathan failed to question the estate inventory and missed the Trust Contest deadline by several months. He tried to avoid responsibility by stating that he was "just a paralegal" at Novoselsky Law Offices, but his resume shows his title as Senior Associate. This shows a lack of honesty on his part. I would have filed a complaint with the ARDC, however his father is now quite ill and I did not wish to put him through it.
