Jon was very helpful in navigating the entire Title IX process as a Respondent. He helped me with every step of communication, which was particularly important given that most of the process was done virtually. Jon was aggressive in determining how best to discredit witnesses. During meetings with th...e investigator and the hearing, Jon was alert and helped make sure that all important details were communicated clearly. Arguably most important to someone going through this process, Jon was a great mental support, especially considering the fact that I did not tell my parents about this process. Overall, I would recommend Jon to anyone in need of an attorney in his areas of expertise.

I contacted Jonathan Cook in January 2019 to assist with an academic misconduct accusation that, if left unresolved, would prevent me from graduating from college in May 2019. It took weeks before he so much as made a phone call on my behalf. He seldom returned my phone calls or emails. He made mul...tiple excuses for his inability to mount a legal defense for me. I was in a desperate situation when I hired Mr. Cook. He was very enthusiastic at our initial and only meeting. He immediately proved himself to be an insufficient counselor, lacking effort to work on my behalf. The expertise he brought to the table at our meeting was suddenly non-existent. Once I hired Mr. Cook I was made to feel like a nobody with the disinterest he took in my case. Weeks turned into months and time ran out for me to vindicate myself. It would please me enormously if I could rate him with a zero, as the lowest rate on this scale does not do Mr. Cook justice. I could have faced my school's student conduct and dispute resolution office without his legal "representation" and faced the consequences in a better light than I did with his inadequate, non-existent defense.

Jon handled a civil matter for me last year. I don't write reviews often but he absolutely deserves a fantastic one. After explaining my situation to Jon, he took the time to come up with a really smart plan of action and got me a result I am so grateful for! Jon made me comfortable every step ...of the way! He is relentless, quick thinking, and never made me feel like my case was a waste of his time. I would absolutely recommend him to friends and colleagues.

He walked me through the entire college disciplinary process, eventually helping me to have my charges dropped without any sanctions while my roommates and friends with the same charge got probation.
