If the child is not your biological child and you are separated you have zero rights.

Usually the divorce decree controls but you need to be prepared at this hearing to deal with the custody issues. The hearing will only be 1/2 hour...

if you are and were married to the mother then yes you definitely have to pay, if you ware not and are not married to the mother then you are ok.
