John Jay Matchulat

    John is a traditional labor law specialist, having begun this career path in 1963-67 at the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations.  Thereafter, following a law school education and passage of the bar, John began an 18 year career with the NLRB at its Regional offices first in Buffalo, New York, and then (for twelve years) at Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During those years, he served as a Trial Specialist and Supervisory Attoney. He entered private practice in 1989 and has since represented the interests of management, exclusively, in labor disputes throughout the nation, from law offices in Nashville, Tennessee. John  has published numerous articles and three books on various topics relating to labor and employment law. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been married to wife Cindy for over 40 years and has a grown son and daughter.
