Joan seemed to be a very competent attorney during the interview before we hired her, but in the court room her litigation skills were horrible. Every time the opposing attorney in the case would object, Joan began to stammer and stutter and was barely able to speak. As a result we walk out of the co...urt room having lost the case. Joan claimed that the reason we lost was due to not having responded to the opposing side’s written statement in time. Joan called me the day before the case to let me know I needed to be in her office to formally respond. That day I was out of town on a business trip and would not be back until the next day. When I offered a solution of faxing my statement to her she responded that “she didn’t have a fax machine” I thought maybe we could get together before the case or possibly postponing the hearing but it never happened. I am very disappointed with Joan’s work and would not recommend her to anyone.
