Jerry Lee Lott Jr.

Jerry Lott, Jr. joined McCathern in 2014 as an Associate to the firm's Banking and Mortgage section. Jerry graduated from Baylor University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Real Estate. Prior to attending Baylor, Jerry accepted a scholarship to play NCAA Division 1 Golf for the University of Texas at Arlington. Due to his outstanding academic achievement while at UTA, he received the Scholar Athlete Award, an honor given to student athletes who demonstrate excellence in the classroom.

In his years before law school, Jerry gained valuable experience in banking and real estate. While working as a credit analyst, he developed an understanding for various types of commercial loans, including commercial real estate acquisition and interim construction loans, residential real estate construction, and lot development projects. Jerry has also worked in loan servicing, and is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Texas. 

Jerry subsequently earned his law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. While attending law school, Jerry was involved in numerous activities, including the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Fraternity, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, and mock trial competitions as a member of St. Mary's External Advocacy Mock Trial Team. Jerry also worked as a legal intern in the Bexar County District Attorney's Office, Criminal Trial Division. 

Outside of the office, Jerry implements McCathern's mantra of "improving people's lives" by serving as a volunteer legal advocate for Advocates for Community Transformation in West Dallas. He is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. In his free time, Jerry enjoys playing golf and basketball, running, and traveling with his wife and dog.
