Biography
My approach to law is shaped by a background in both accounting and business.
Before becoming an attorney, I worked in public accounting at KPMG, auditing public and privately held companies. I graduated from Portland State University with a double major in Economics and Accounting and later earned my law degree from the University of Hawaii’s William S. Richardson School of Law.
I spent nearly a decade in private practice working in estate planning, business law, and regulatory matters. My subsequent business experience has given me an additional perspective on the practical and financial issues that often accompany legal decisions.
I bring those experiences together in my practice today, with a focus on understanding the bigger picture, explaining things clearly, and helping clients find practical solutions that make sense.

exceptional lawyer
I was extremely impressed with Jeremy Swanlund. I had a seemingly complicated legal case that didn't look like it could have a happy ending. He was open, fair, honest, sympathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable. My only regret is that I didn't have him as my original lawyer!
