Jean Paul Castro

Jean Paul Castro earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Finance from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He began his legal career as a trial attorney before the Miami Immigration Court, where he represented dozens of clients and secured immigration relief that kept families together and changed lives. Mr. Castro has contributed articles on business and probate law to several legal journals, served as president of the National Law Students Association of Puerto Rico, and broadened his global perspective at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain, through coursework in international and business law. He has also written op eds for leading Puerto Rican outlets such as El Nuevo Día, El Vocero, and Microjuris.

Over the past three years, Mr. Castro has concentrated his practice on employment based and high skilled immigration—particularly EB 1A, EB 2 NIW, and O 1 visas—amassing more than 600 successful petitions.

Fully committed to the profession and his clients, he has served on the Board of Directors of AILA Central Florida and is the current Vice Chair of its Business & Investment Committee, where he promotes informed discussion of high skilled, employment based immigration and mentors peers on effective petition strategy.
Throughout his life, Jean Paul has witnessed the real world impact of immigration law—both in the journeys of his own family and in the triumphs and struggles of his clients. These experiences fuel his conviction that skilled, compassionate advocacy can transform futures and reinforce his dedication to this field of law.

In his free time, Jean Paul enjoys cooking, visiting theme parks, and spending time with his cat.
