Never responds, lies

I hired Mr. Wood's firm to handle a HOA problem. I paid him $2,810 witch included court filing fees. he clamed that he would get "right on it". after 3 weeks nothing was done. I had sent multiple emails and phone calls. he responded that he would call first thing in the morning. never called. I final...ly drove to his office only to be amazed that he moved out and no forwarding address. I was later informed that he was dis-bared from Arizona. I had to hire another law firm and threated to call law enforcement. INCREADABLE but true!! Bryan

Incompetent, Unprofessional, and DANGEROUS!

I could go on for days at to why Roger Wood law firm is unprofessional, lying, deceiving, and incompetent to file basic paperwork with the correct courts. Simply, he was supposed to stop a garnishment, never happen. He was supposed to file paperwork with the courts, he filed to the wrong courts months... late. Always blamed his lack of knowledge on other people. scheduled conferences and he would no call, no show.

Responsive and helpful

I was searching for advice and possible representation regarding an HOA issue. Mr Wood. got back to me in a timely manner. Provided realistic advice and helped me formulate a plan that made sense and was cost effective. I ended up not needing to actually hire an attorney but I would have had no re...servations about hiring Mr. Wood based on my experiences.

Little Communication

While I understand that personal issues (even tragic ones) can effect a professional approach to clients, communication is key for a law office. First draft was too long coming, and when the HOA attorney responded to our final draft I was not informed of the response until AFTER the HOA board meeting.... Even if my attorney was unavailable to communicate, there is an entire office staff available to forward important information to me. During the HOA board meeting, and without prior knowledge of their attorney's response, I was left to look unprepared and misinformed. From a quick glance at other reviews I can see that this firm does some things well, but communication and timeliness is not one of them. I did write to them in regard my disappointment, and did receive a response, however the response was too little and too late.

A waste of time and money.

J. R. Wood office was eager to get my business, would do nothing until paid upfront. Then took a full month to write the first draft to the HOA, and two additional weeks to make revisions to the first draft. Second draft still contained errors which I corrected and he signed and mailed. When the HO...A did not respond within the requested time, Wood wanted more money before he would proceed. I did not proceed with this attorney. When I requested the return of the information supplied to them, the first response was that all correspondence was electronic, which was not true. Second respond was that they could not find it. Finally, after more than a month, and numerous inquires, it was returned.
