James D. Moriarty is a proud graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Before beginning his practice of law, James served as a law clerk to the Honorable John C. Foster of the Macomb County Circuit Court. He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Leo Bowman of the Oakland County Circuit Court. James co-authored the article Equal Is Not Necessarily Equitable When Distributing Marital Property, published in the July 2010 Michigan Bar Journal.
James primarily concentrates his practice in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Law. His experience includes conducting trials or hearings in the circuit courts for Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Washtenaw, Genesee, Livingston, Lapeer and Lenawee counties.
