Jacqueline Rose Elizabeth Russell

Raised by two Lutheran pastors, Jackie learned early the importance of using one’s talents to give back. By the time she got to college, this passion for helping others inspired her to consider a career working with children and families. After listening to a presentation from a law school admissions officer, she realized that she could funnel this passion into a career in law. Even before she got to law school, Jackie knew that she wanted to practice family law. She has always found that her talents are best used when she is helping families in need. Throughout law school, Jackie sought out internships and classes that would bolster her experience in family law. Over the years, Jackie has worked with families fighting to keep their children out of foster care and has been an advocate for abused and neglected children. These experiences have taught her that family can be defined in many ways. In her practice, Jackie seeks to help professionals create their own definition of family in order to allow them to live their best lives.

Her time working in a multi-disciplinary legal clinic that paired attorneys and social workers together taught Jackie that there is more to the practice of law than legal issues. Every person who comes to an attorney has a personal problem that has led to a legal problem. Jackie has since endeavored to incorporate this philosophy into her practice by digging deep and helping clients resolve their personal problems as well as their legal issues.

Jackie is a born and bred Michigander with roots in the Upper Peninsula. Over the course of her life, she has lived in no less than eight Michigan cities and has seen some of the most beautiful parts of this state. She recently moved to Howell with her husband, son, and English Bulldog and looks forward to making her home in Livingston County.
