Extremely poor experience — I strongly do not recommend this attorney.

**Extremely disappointed with my experience working with Inna Shapovalov.** During the initial discussions about payment and while making payments, communication with Inna was fairly responsive. The payment was made in installments, and every time payment was discussed, she was available and respo...nsive. However, after the payment was made, the situation changed completely. It became almost impossible to contact her. She stopped responding to messages, and it was impossible to reach her by phone. We sometimes had to wait weeks for a response. This was especially concerning because there were significant changes in U.S. immigration law during this period, and we needed to understand what was happening with our case and what actions needed to be taken. Despite numerous attempts to contact the attorney, we were unable to receive proper communication or clear information about the status of our case. Eventually, I decided to terminate the representation and requested a refund. After that, Inna claimed that she had allegedly completed a significant amount of legal work and used that as the basis for determining the fee she considered earned. The amount she claimed for the alleged work was **approximately twice the amount she had actually received from me for that period**. I strongly disagree with this assessment. **All of the necessary documents and case materials had already been fully prepared by another attorney who had previously worked on preparing our case for Master Calendar proceedings. Those materials were simply provided to Inna Shapovalov in essentially completed form.** Moreover, **our case was never discussed with Inna Shapovalov — not even once.** We never had a substantive discussion with her about the circumstances of the case, legal strategy, further actions, or any significant changes to the materials. Essentially, she received a package of documents that had already been fully prepared by another attorney. At the time I terminated the representation, there were still approximately four years before the anticipated court stage. Therefore, I simply do not understand how such a significant amount of allegedly completed legal work was determined. **I categorically do not recommend Inna Shapovalov and would not recommend her to anyone.** My personal experience was extremely negative: after receiving payment, communication virtually stopped, responses to messages could take weeks, and when I attempted to terminate the representation, a dispute arose regarding the amount of work she allegedly performed. Given my experience and the existence of other negative reviews concerning communication issues, I intend to file a complaint with **The Florida Bar** so that the appropriate authorities can evaluate the situation. If you are currently working with Inna Shapovalov and have experienced a similar situation, I invite you to contact me by email at **[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])**. It may be useful for us to exchange our experiences and, if the circumstances warrant it, consider submitting complaints to **The Florida Bar** together.

Stopped Responding and Left Me Without Answers

I hired this attorney for my immigration case and paid significant legal and filing fees. At first communication was normal, but later it became almost impossible to reach her. Calls and messages were ignored for long periods of time, and I could not get clear answers about what was happening with my... case. After many months, I still had no receipt number, no clear updates, and no documentation showing progress on my petition. Eventually I had to file FOIA requests and complaints just to understand what was going on. Very stressful and disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend based on my personal experience.

MICROBIOLOGIST

Inna Shapovalov is an exceptional professional lawyer. In 2015 USCIS denied all my brother and sisters (Total 4) legitiamate application for I-130 petition for Alien Relative. I was a US citizen and filled I-130 petition for my brothers and sisters in 2011. We submitted all our primary and secondary ...evidences to establish and prove our relationship. After submitting all required genuine documents submitted time to time, all on a sudden USCIS one day sent the denial letter stating that this documents may be fraudulent activity to establish siblings relationship and hence USCIS director made a decision to deny all the applications. The situation was like a severe thunderstorm for me and I felt to hire a good lawyer. I contacted several lawyer and couldn't made them understand that my sibling relationship is genuine and the supporting documents like delayed birth registration certificate in Bangladesh is also correct and not fake. Finally, through one of my friend I was able to meet Inna Shapovalov. She did a face to face cool hearing with me and went through all my paper works, documents and USCIS denial letters. After almost an hour, she looked at me and asked all the documents are genuine or not . Please tell me honestly. I answered yes, these are genuine. Then she said I will fight for you. ----SHE STARTED MY CASE URGUMENTS/BRIEFS/MOTIONS--- Her step by step justification with facts and documents to establish our sibling relationship finally could convince the USCIS officers and in one month all my brothers and sisters I-130 application was approved from denial status. Thanks God and Attorney Inna Shapovalov. Inna is a pleasant personality to work with as your layer. She has vast historical/political knowledge for lot of countries like Bangladesh and that made her to win. She made all the great USCIS officers convinced by showing a UNICEF report 2006 showing that birth registration was only started after 2006. USCIS had a doubt that why we submitted birth certificate after so long time after our birth and thinking that these are fake. This report was a bullet for USCIS officers and they had to approve my cases. It was beyond my satisfaction.

Thanks for your help all time !

There are absolutely no words to describe how good our experience has been dealing with Inna Shapovalov. She helped us to get our green card even though some other lawyers wouldn't even take my case because they said there is nothing I could do.
