Ilene B Belinsky

I was referred to Ilene from an other lawyer, after going through two others and also representing myself throughout a lengthy 5+ year divorce, and from the moment we had our first consultation, I knew she was what I was missing and needed. She was open and upfront from the start and kept me well inf...ormed during the whole process of what was going on and what to expect. One of her best qualities was, when she needed to be, she was brutally honest with me in times that I was over reaching on demands or expecting an outcome that was unrealistic. She had no problem, pulling me aside and simply telling me that I was fighting a losing battle and shift focus to things more obtainable, which is something you need to hear from time to time. Overall, in an emotional process, she was able to take the emotion out of it and break things down from a practical stand-point, which is extremely important in divorce proceedings as well as issues that arise post divorce. (parenting time, custody issues, etc.) So if you are looking for someone that is honest and fair and will also be strong at the negotiating table and/or in front of the judge, I would highly recommend Ilene Belinksy.

When I met Ilene I was terrified and ignorant about the entire divorce process. I contacted Ilene after 6 months of mediation finally broke down. My ex-husband was not participating in the process at all. I don't know what Ilene did to him, but she got him to participate and provide the needed paperwork and he even signed the papers!! Ilene did a great job forming the agreemen...t we took to court. The judge found it fair to both of us and the proceedings were quick and painless. Ilene listened carefully to the particulars of our life and made suggestions that she knew would be received well by the court and the soon-to-be-ex. This made the whole thing as efficient as possible. She worked some magic with an impossible man!!
