Beware....

Please do not use this lawyer. I ended up paying him $3000 for my divorce and when he was replaced, the divorce started almost from scratch. He offered to refund my money but never did. In the beginning, he said my husband's lawyer had moved back east and wasn't responding. He led me to believe that ...the case was not progressing. Turns out, a year later, I find out from my husband's niece that I have a court date and that I had missed several court dates over the prior year! Jones attended some and missed others. He never contacted me and my husband and his lawyer never mentioned my absence at the court dates. When I reached out to Mr. Jones, he did not respond when I asked about the upcoming court date that I found out about. The night before the court date, he called me for the first time in over a year! He gave me a sub out and to return my fees. Next day the judge called him during court and it went to message which said his message box was full. The state bar is now involved.

DO NOT HIRE OR AGREE TO WORK WITH EVER

Do not hire him or agree to work with him, he told me that his services were free and that the court would pay for his services. This was a lie. He has no business practicing law or working with children. He spent most of the time in court complaining that my kids refused to talk to him because he... is a creepy weirdo. He is not someone that kids want to talk to. That is not even his picture in his profiles, that is another lie. I agree with the other review, he does dress like slob, is completely unprofessional and unpleasant and should be investigated and lose his lisence to practice law. He always looks scared because he knows that he has wronged children and families and that the money he is paid with is made by taking advantage of children and families. He filed for two continuances only because he wasn't prepared for court twice, which costed even more money. Do not hire him. Do not agree to work with him. Do not pay him. I would give him negative stars if I could.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
