Heather Ryan Hobgood

Heather has walked me through every step of the legal process involving my separation/divorce, child custody, child support, alimony & equitable distribution. I think the best thing to say about Heather is that she's had my back & best interests since day one back in 2011. I trust Heather completel...y....which means that I don't worry about how I am being represented legally & I'm free to just live my life. I don't think that there's a greater compliment that I could pay her! Heather is what everyone hopes their Lawyer will be. She is knowledgeable (especially of recent rulings that the "good old boys" who are living on their past reputations have not bothered to keep up with), she is fair, she provides guidance (but will not advise you to "fight dirty", just to know wha...t is legally and rightfully yours and how to go about protecting those rights), she is willing to fight tooth and nail for you, she is NOT intimidated by "big name" firms but rather enjoys putting the big names in their place using her smarts and her tireless work ethic. She has the ability to shift gears effortlessly, moving from cordial and amicable to "full on" in an instant. Very well written, articulate and witty, she can communicate in a way that is both scathing and "threatening" while also being soft spoken, yet direct. Heather is an adversary that should never be underestimated. While she is young, she more than makes up for any lack of tenure with her tenacity. Much more than any of these traits though is Heather's genuine care and concern for her client's, especially when she is representing someone who is fighting against those with the means to "lawyer up" and take advantage of those less fortunate. Heather will dig in and fight as a Mother would to protect her child. Heather is an idealist who got into Law for all the right reasons. She hates the politics of the system and stands ready to fight for "right versus wrong", regardless of who is involved or why the injustice is being done. She will not try to "run up the bill" with needless emails recapping what you already know, engage in needless phone calls or meetings etc. just to increase billable hours. She practices law to help people through one of the toughest times of their lives, and to do so with care and compassion. I truly hope to never need her services again personally, but if I am ever asked for a recommendation on a Family Law Attorney, I will not hesitate in VERY STRONGLY referring them to Heather.
