Glenn E. Roper

Glenn Roper focuses his practice at Reilly Pozner on civil and commercial litigation.  Mr. Roper is part of the team working on a multi-million dollar federal racketeering case on behalf of 35 state life and health insurance guaranty associations, the National Organization of Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Associations, and a Texas receiver who brought a lawsuit involving an alleged scheme to defraud funeral homes and consumers across the nation into selling and purchasing pre-need funeral contracts.  Prior to joining Reilly Pozner, Mr. Roper served as Deputy Associate Counsel in the Office of Counsel to the President of the United States in Washington, D.C. As Deputy Associate Counsel, Mr. Roper assisted in responding to congressional oversight requests and subpoenas; he also provided legal research and advice on various issues affecting the President and other members of the Executive Branch. Mr. Roper brings to his practice substantial research and writing experience developed during a clerkship with the Honorable David M. Ebel of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. During his clerkship, Mr. Roper gained exposure to a variety of areas of civil and criminal law. Mr. Roper received his law degree from Brigham Young University Law School, where he graduated first in his class. He was a merit scholar and lead articles editor for the BYU Law Review. Mr. Roper also worked as a Civil Procedure teaching assistant while attending law school, and he was a research assistant in BYU ' s International Center for Law and Religion Studies. He maintains a strong interest in issues involving freedom of religion. Mr. Roper, an Eagle Scout, is also active as an adult troop leader in the Boy Scouts of America.
