A genial guy, I liked him but he is delusional regards his professional ability. I employed him for one year to act on my behalf in my ongoing child custody case, he frittered my money away on endless communications most of which were unnecessary because he doesn’t listen! Tell him six things to do..., he hears two and does one. The only success I had during his tenure as my employee was 100 percent my own doing. Prior to retaining him I had been to court on my own and won the first victory in three years, a child custody investigation. Six months later when this came due, I attended the multiple day investigation alone and won back joint custody. He attended court with me two months later and got the report stipped onto record, I could have and should have done it myself too, since what he okayed is deeply flawed and continues to be problematic. Lawyers I have consulted with since are aghast that he didn’t rectify these issues. I kept him on retainer for another six months out of fear of being without support, but he caused further complications and problems by agreeing to things with opposing council without my permission or knowledge that weakened my hard won custody orders. Subsequently he continued to continue to squander my money on needless endless communications with me and opposing council until I had to let him go. However, The agreement I made with him was that he would immediately represent me again should any development occur which could move my custody forward. That moment came three month later with undeniable proof that my children’s mother was attempting suicide, however he refused to help in any way, phoning me to tell me never to contact him again. Ironically, HE started phoning me when I left review of his services later last year. He promised he would represent me again and we would take things back to court. HOWEVER once I removed my google review he phoned to say he couldn’t represent me after all ! There is a lot more detail I could go into, but I think I paint a realistic enough picture that readers understand my experience with Giovanni Milan. Post script: he has lost most of my legal records and documents from my previous lawyers, yet claims no responsibility, and makes excuses as to what has occurred, mostly blaming me! He never made any grandiose claims of total victory in order to gain me as a client, instead he made sure I knew what I was getting into with my eyes wide open.
