Chapter 11 - it's not a death sentence!

Through a recommendation, I used Gerald Wolfe's services for filing Chapter 11. After several failed attempts to refi. and/or loan modify my mortgage, I was faced with the reality that my home was eventually going end up in foreclosure. I had previously spent thousands of dollars using a loan modif...ication co.. Listening and believing their stories that they could help me save my house, while lowering my monthly mortgage payment, was to say the least "far from the truth". At the 12th hour my loan modification was denied by my bank, Wells Fargo, forcing me to find a bankruptcy attorney. That's when Gerald Wolfe came into the picture. Gerald helped me understand the legal process. He helped ease the pain and difficulty of foreclosure by navigating me through the bankruptcy courts both professionally and efficiently. Gerald educated and changed my way of thinking with regards to bankruptcy. He made me realize that I was "not alone". So many others like myself have fallen upon unfortunate times and/or circumstances causing them to lose their jobs, their homes and lively hood! He taught me that bankruptcy could be used as a tool to reconstruct and even protect what little equity I had left. Gerald helped me stay in my house one more extra year before it finally went into foreclosure. His website is very professional and informative. He has great resources for educating his clients and he webcam's lectures and open group discussions for his clients or anyone else who wants to be properly informed!!!

BK 9:10

We found the Wolfe office to be very calming and comforting during our initial panicked and emotional calls prior to filing bankruptcy. I had spoken to Gerald 12 months prior, and he remembered me and our situation. His office was diligent in obtaining all of the paperwork needed to file our BK in ...time to save our house from foreclosure. We had tried loan modification on our own, which of course, failed. It appeared as if there were multiple "accounts" for us, with a separate phone tech each and every time we called, and no supervisor, no matter how we demanded. We went round and round, provided info, sent it certified, faxed it, and they kept asking for the same material again and again, claiming we had never sent it. Gerald reminded me that there were no classes in law school entitled "loan modification". Which explains why 92% (according to radio ads) of modifications never go through. We found out the hard way and almost lost our house. Gerald also was comforting in his explanation that bankruptcy is part of the Constitution, not really a failure but a chance for a clean start. We worked closely with his employee, Andrew, and with Susie at the front desk. With their help, we met with the BK court, and proved to the judge that the County Trustee had been lax in providing important information to those who file a bankruptcy. We have recommended Gerald's office to several of our friends who have found themselves in similar situations. We learned many valuable lessons during the time they worked with us, and the one time fee covered ALL of their tasks from the end of August 2010, to confirmation of the BK on Jan. 21, 2011.

For a lawyer who is honest, upfront and truely cares about his client then I highly recommend the services of Gerald Wolfe.

I sought his counsel after my Ch. 7 lawyer and staff were unresponsive and did not return calls. When I first met with Mr. Wolfe it was to get another opinion and he actually gave me two complimentary appointments so that I truely understood the pros and cons of Ch. 13 and 7. Since I decided to conti...nue with my Ch 7 that was already paid for I remained with my first lawyer. However, after my Bankruptcy hearing I did make an appt. with Mr. Wolfe to get clarification regarding reaffirmations and other bankruptcy questions I had. The advice I got was clearly presented and relieved some of the stress I had been experiencing due to unanswered or ambiguous answers from my other lawyer. . My only regret is that I did not go to him first. He and his staff are efficient, knowledgeable, and most importantly are accessable to phone calls which was not the case with my other lawyer's staff. My primary reason for writing this up is to hopefully save someone else from having the kind of experience I had.. You won't have with Gerald Wofe! I have been properly impressed and you will be also.
