She received her B.A. in Business in 1994 from Southwestern University, located in Georgetown, Texas, and she received her J.D. in 1997 from South Texas College of Law, located in Houston, Texas. She was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1997. She also was admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
