Emily took a complete payment to perform a service in an adoption. She did not work the the lawyers at all and disappeared with the payment... never rendering the service. The court could not even reach her. The court removed her from the case and she never refunded the money. Others have said as mu...ch on many negative reviews.

Emily seemed to be a very honest and dependable lawyer. My husband and I dealt with another lawyer (great lawyer, but pricey) about a year prior and needed someone who'd represent us well, but work with us on price this time. While the retainer was still steep, as to be expected with cases such as ou...r own, we were able to make a down payment and make affordable monthly payments. Emily was very honest about her payment policy and let us know that our case would be dropped in the event of non payment. With that being said, Emily represented us until the end of hearing, but when time came for the court order to be drafted and sent to the proper court, she failed to communicate with us in any way and failed to send the court order. This resulted in us continuing to not recieve the support we went to court to obtain from the defendant. Apon reviewing our receipts, I am sure she was paid in full, and have no idea why the final steps of our case were not taken. We have suffered great financial loss being blind sided with a counter suit for custody/child support. We concluded that in the long term, our losses would be cut when child support was instated. Well, our case is still open and we have not began to recieve support because Emily stopped doing her job with no explanation to us. Numerous phone calls, emails, and screen shots of our receipts have been sent and none returned. I read good reviews before we hired her, but in the end we were severely burned, anf left trying to the loose ends in our own.
