Attorney Elsa Camacho worked for KEL Attorneys, talked to her verbally she didn't have all my documents that I submitted to the company. I called to actually verify if they received them, and was told yes. I felt so bad cause she didn't know anything about my case and I was actually charged. She told... me that my case was going to cost extra money, cause she needed more documents from the beginning of my case. Was also told that it wouldn't cost that much, the company and her new I was disabled and already given them my savings. The intake attorney talked to me verbally prior, told me I'm sure your case would only cost $1500. The only thing that could cost extra is stamps, or additional items requested but it be a significant amount. I had already stated if need be I was okay, with doing a payment plan but couldn't have it paid in full before court if had to pay extra. She said okay I will talk to my boss, and contact you back. If needed to pay additional fees. With that been said, I received a email saying refresh your attorney retainer almost $3000 dollars. This email came fourteen days before my court date, and remind you I'm coming from out of state with my kids on the bus for two days. I reached out to talk with the attorney verbally, and sent emails. She never returned my calls, or emails. I also email the company on their website requesting a supervisor, and trying to reach her that way, also sent a message on Facebook to one of the manager of the company and know response. You want believe this, Tuesday I tried again to reach out to her again or a supervisor and the Paralegal says " your attorney is know longer with the company as in fired"! This isn't good and know one from the company, had the respect or courtesy to call me and tell me. It would of been nice if my attorney, would have just communicated with me about the changes like she promised. I feel like I was taken advantage of been that I'm disabled.
