Disrespectful

I will provide the shortened version. We hired Mrs. Trent to represent us for an appeal case concerning visitation clarification. The case took approximately 210 days to bring to court. Four days before court, we were stunned that Mrs. Trent's opinion had completely changed. There was no strat...egy, she had lost two similar cases recently and it had shaped how she now felt, visitation she was suggesting was not worth going to court over. We were shocked as the response we kept getting when we tried to discuss matters that we felt went to the heart of best interest of child was, 'It doesn't matter...the mother is dead. That is all that matters.' The mother had passed prior to us retaining Mrs. Trent. We were told the female judge would put herself in the other grandmother's shoes. Based upon this information, we decided to withdraw our appeal as we did not feel confident in her ability to represent us successfully. I did not go into details. Without a strategy and based upon what she was telling us, we felt there was no need to go to court with her representing us. We did not seek to continue the case as it had been 7 months as it was and we chose to let go and have peace. The next week, I received a check from the balance of our account with Bye Felicia written in the memo. I took a picture as of it as it stood out. It was not until days later I realized that Bye Felicia was an insult from an old movie. Mrs. Trent took our lack of confidence as a personal assault but really facts were facts. If all she said was true, she could not be successful. I wrote a Google review and Mrs. Trent again insulted me with the name calling. I did not call her names and I do not feel her behaviors are warranted or mature.

Client did not contact us until last minute, I did write that in the check, I did NOT call her names as you can read in the reviews, client wants to twist facts to blame me, but in reality I’m the third or fourth lawyer this client has hired. At some point its not everyone else, its you thats the problem.

Custody

I hired Mrs. Trent for a custody case I desperately needed help with. She fought hard for me and helped me gain custody. Mrs. Trent listened to what I had to say and actually and always returned my phone calls in a prompt fashion. She didn't treat me like just another client and I'm very grateful for... her and what she did for me.

Above and beyond

Any time that an attorney is needed, it is a stressful decision as to who should be hired to ensure that your needs are met. Mrs. Trent is that attorney. She listens to her clients and has no issues with fighting for what she believes to be right! She is passionate about what she does and proved it ...when we were in the courtroom. She was very professional throughout my entire process. She kept me informed of what was happening and what would happen throughout the proceeding. I was never left wondering or confused. If you need an attorney that will go above and beyond your expectations, then she is worth the consideration! There are not enough words to thank her for the help that she provided for my family!
