You have 5 months from termination of your SEVIS record to reinstate your F status and get a new I-20! So move fast if you are still within that...

You still need to have a legal basis for getting a green card. You could have the army help you naturalize faster but you can't skip a step....

The C visa is a transit visa, not one to enter as a visitor. Be careful. You should consult an immigration attorney one-on-one.
