Ms. Milliken began her legal career in 1994 with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office where she gained valuable trial experience as a traditional trial prosecutor handling a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony cases and then specializing in cases involving drug offenses and search & seizure issues. Branching out into the non-traditional role of a Community Prosecutor, she then worked daily with law enforcement officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the Indianapolis Police Department, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department applying aspects of both criminal and civil law to tackle complex crime problems that plagued Indianapolis neighborhoods. While serving as a Community Prosecutor, Ms. Milliken also worked closely with residents of indianapolis neighborhoods expanding her skills not only as a litigator, but also as a problem-solver.
In preparation for a move into private legal practice, Ms. Milliken moved back to the role of a traditional prosecutor handling high-level felony drug cases. During this time, Ms. Milliken worked closely with Indiana State Police detectives on cases involving complex search and seizure issues.
