You want to make sure that you hire an experienced and professional attorney who will ensure that your interests are properly protected. Too many people choose their attorney based solely on a recommendation from their real estate agent or based on which attorney charges the cheapest fee for a transaction. Do yourself a favor; when deciding which attorney you will hire to represent you, ask the attorney to complete a relatively simple task for you. Ask them to explain to you how a property tax bill is calculated.  If the attorney cannot do that for you, I would suggest finding another attorney to represent you.  A competent real estate attorney should understand this simple calculation.
