Dorina Cela

As a New York attorney practicing in the area of employment law, I am grateful to do the work that I love. Prior to starting my own practice, I was an associate attorney at an employment law firm where I represented employees in matters involving violations of their workplace rights under anti-discrimination, family and medical leave, and wage and hour laws.

I made the decision to pursue a career in law during my undergraduate studies at Hunter College, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology and Political Science. I attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law with the goal of becoming an international human rights advocate, driven by my inherent desire to stand up for people who were subjected to injustice.

After law school, I was introduced to the field of employment law and realized that it was my calling. I knew that in representing employees, I would have the amazing opportunity to advocate for human rights at the domestic level, specifically in the workplace, a place where we spend most of our waking ours, where we get the much-needed financial security, where we aim to achieve our career dreams and aspirations, a place that some of us call a second home. Having found my passion, I am dedicated to zealous and compassionate advocacy on behalf of employees whose rights have been violated in one of the most vital places in their lives, their workplace.
