Amazing Attorney, Amazing Person

Rick Weeks was assigned as my Area Defense Counsel for a sexual assault case in the Air Force. I was tried with him as my legal counsel and initially convicted. The conviction came late in the day so the judge determined we would have sentencing the next morning. I remember driving back to the ADC bu...ilding with him in his truck, shocked into silence at what my life was about to become and once we got back he reached over and grabbed my hand and told me that we would always be in this fight together. That night, he put together such a stellar sentencing package for me that the jury ended up not sentencing me to any confinement and simply ordering forfeiture of all pay. He then continued to fight for me as I would have had to spend the next 2 months waiting to be discharged from the Air Force and not being paid while doing so. In the hot wash following the trial, it turned out that OSI had indeed discovered it had evidence we requested from them (but they claimed to not have during the trial) and he immediately went into action requesting a review of my case to overturn the conviction and dismiss the charges with prejudice. While we were successful in overturning the conviction, the charges were not dismissed. We then pursued a Resignation in Lieu of Court Martial (RILO) which ended up being successful (we had tried before the trial but were unsuccessful). Rick didn't recommend we attempt to do this again because he thought I was guilty, he saw what the first conviction had done to me and knew that even if this evidence did show that my accuser committed perjury, he didn't want to take the risk of another conviction and what it would do to my life. While my military career did not go the way I had envisioned it when I set off to my first duty location, Rick Weeks is the reason I get to have a good life now that it's over. If you are ever find yourself in my shoes and in need of representation, choose this man. He has a compassion to him that is unmatched and you can tell he really cares.

Awesome Lawyer

I had a case that I thought was un beatable. I was given Capt Weeks through McDill AFB. We had an up hill battle with my case, an administrative discharge not to get too specific. I had a lot of documents that needed to be reviewed, a week prior we pulled 12 hour shifts to comb through evidence I di...dn't know was revenant. Capt weeks looked me in the eye and asked me with his paralegal by his side, I call them Batman and Robin. He said did you know this event that happened to me was illegal I told him I did not know. He proceeded to work vigorously with my documents. we worked five 12hour days and built a full proof case. We then drove 5 hours to Robbins AFB and fought the case for 2 days. I had Capt Weeks paralegal texting me just to crack jokes to ease my tension. I had Capt Weeks told me on day 2 to meet back at the court room a 0800 and by 0900 they deliberated on my career or 18years to decide that I belonged in the USAF and did nothing wrong winning my case. I think Capt Weeks hugged me 3x tears ran down our face. That type of dedication couldn't be bought that's pure passion and dedication of his team something you can't teach something you master. Thank you again Capt weeks. ( sorry for any mis spellings or grammar errors)
