Derek Galey is the founder and principal of Galey Law, a Los Angeles practice focused on land use, environmental, and real estate matters. Before founding Galey Law, Derek practiced at Latham & Watkins, Armbruster Goldsmith & Delvac, Sheppard Mullin, and Somos Law Group. He also served as Land Use Deputy to Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, giving him firsthand experience with how legal, planning, agency, political, and community considerations affect complex projects.
Derek holds law and urban planning degrees from Harvard University and was a Fulbright Scholar studying sustainable urban development. He is admitted to practice in California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
