Jimmy Chatsuthiphan

Jimmy Chatsuthiphan is a consultant based in DLA Piper's Bangkok office. He is a US qualified lawyer with more than 10 years of dispute resolution experience, and is highly skilled in all aspects of litigation and arbitration. Jimmy advises clients in many industries and countries on a wide range of commercial and regulatory issues across Southeast Asia. He draws from a rare combination of significant US and Thai litigation experience to navigate foreign clients through local laws and regulations. He focuses on providing practical and solution-oriented advice of the highest quality. Many of the leading companies around the world turn to Jimmy when conducting business in Thailand because of his ability to cut through complexity and mitigate risk. His experience covers a wide variety of subject matters, including commercial contracts, financial fraud, business crimes, sanctions and regulatory compliance, foreign investment, competition law, franchising and product distribution, trademarks, dealerships, labor and employment and insurance-related matters. His international arbitration practice is agile and spans multiple jurisdictions. Jimmy has experience in commercial arbitrations under a variety of rules including UNCITRAL, AAA, SIAC, TAI, ICC and JAMS. In addition, he has experience in Thai ad hoc arbitrations and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Jimmy also has experience assisting with corporate and internal investigations in the US and Asia. He is an appointed member of the ICC Corporate Responsibility & Anti-Corruption Commission in Thailand.
