Lisa Marie Rivas

Lisa Rivas is an associate in the firm’s Danbury office.  Her areas of practice are immigration law and various litigation matters such as personal injury and contract disputes.  With regards to immigration law, Rivas works closely with clients to determine whether they are eligible for immigration relief and to find solutions to any immigration matters that may arise.  She has experience with all levels of immigration law including family petitions, asylum applications, removal proceedings, employment visas, and inadmissibility waiver applications.  Rivas was admitted to the Connecticut and New Jersey bar in 2011.  She joined Cramer & Anderson LLP in 2013 after two years of working with a firm in Hartford, Connecticut.

Rivas earned her J.D. at the University of Connecticut School of Law and graduated with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law.  Prior to earning her J.D., Rivas earned her B.S. in Marketing from Georgetown University.

Rivas is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association. She is also an active member in her community. Rivas is a volunteer at the Multicultural Center of Danbury and teaches a Citizenship Course to those preparing to take the next step towards achieving US citizenship. She is also a member of the Selection Committee for the Latino Scholarship Fund and actively participates in the interviewing and selection process for scholarship recipients.
