I contacted Mr. Eisman to help me with an old debt issue that involved a questionable money judgement against me from 10+ years ago that I was not aware of. His investigation of the facts of the case led to the judgement being vacated and the case closed. I hired this lawyer for a very simple case. He asked me to see him a few times before the first court date, but somehow he just couldn't understand the relationships and the issues of the case, again, a very simple case; after that, he asked me to see him every month before the 2nd court date. I took... time from work to see him, he was not even talking about the case, he said, this is just saying hello. I had an exam and I had to re-schedule an appointment he suggested again and told him 2 weeks ahead, but he insisted to meet me during my preparation period of my exam even I told him again and again I couldn't make it. Finally he chose the date after my exam. I called him that day and he said he was on another case, so that the appointment was cancelled by him. This was just 2 days before the 2nd court date. I sent him a couple of emails and left a few voice messages but he was not responding. At the 2nd court date, I asked him if he would show up on the court as he promised, a few hours before the court. This lawyer added me too much stress instead of relieve. I had 3 complains about him: 1. Competence in understanding a simple case; 2. A simple case doesn't need so many times to talk/meet even all these was paid by the insurance company; 3. Not dependable and caused too much stress!!

I hired Mr. Eisman to defend me in a lawsuit filed by an ex boyfriend who is a paralegal. He assured me of getting the case dismissed back in July. However, he has been to court in this matter another four times. He has had to file papers each of these times. For a lawyer of his experience, and for t...he money I'm paying him, you'd think he could do a lot better against someone who isn't even a lawyer. The only good thing I can say about him is that he or his associate has appeared each time for me so that I didn't have to take off any time from work.
