Mr. Scott was assigned to my divorce case. He filed last year in October and my divorce was filed under cruelty so I did not have to wait the 60 days. Mr. Scott was so focused on a two year protective order however my focus was the divorce. To sum it up Mr. Scott filed my divorce in one court room, t...he protective order in another court room and last but not least the child support was also filed in a different court room. We had been to court 4 times for the protective order which kept on getting reset and I had to keep missing work. In November the Judge stated to Mr. Scott he needed to consolidate all three of my cases together that they should of never been filed separately with 3 different case numbers, which he did not do. We kept bumping heads over my case and this 2 year protective order on my ex and I kept telling him I don't need that I am wanting my divorce to focus on my divorce as well as support for my daughter. This went on for 2 1/2 months!!!!!! Mr. Scott withdrew and I also stated to him that I was not happy with his services. Well at the end of January I had court for the protective orders which I informed the judge on what was going on and why Christopher Scott was no longer representing me. The judge sent my ex and I to the law library to draw up the divorce decree and the lady that was helping us stated that my case was a mess and they did not know which cause number to file my divorce under because Mr. Scott had three open cases for me however it should of only been one case/cause number. The lady was able to consolidate all my cases and I was granted my divorce that same day no thanks to Christopher Scott. I should of had my divorce In November of last year considering we filed under cruelty.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
