Christina Lorrain Vega Fitch

Christina L. Vega Fitch is a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Lake County, Indiana. She has extensive trial experience, handling all stages of litigation with tenacity and an eye for detail.

Before entering government service, Christina worked as a Chicago corporate defense attorney for six years and obtained a great deal of litigation experience, including trials, depositions, expert witness testimony, case management, client communication, and business development. Christina also served as a judicial extern for Sixth Judicial Circuit judge the Honorable Jeffrey B. Ford and as an Adjunct Instructor for the University of Illinois College of Law. As a law student, Christina clerked for three summers at a large Indianapolis law firm, focusing on projects within the labor and employment law practice group.

Christina earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign-Urbana, the recipient of an academic scholarship. In law school, she was awarded with Honors in legal writing and later utilized her writing talents as a T.A. for the 1L legal writing course and as an Associate Editor for the Elder Law Journal. Christina received Bachelor’s degrees in English and Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington, where she was a Hudson Scholar.
