Does not communicate with clients and did little for me.

I worked with Cathy through reidy law office. Originally I wanted the owner, but they assigned her to my case and I went along in good faith. The initial conversation we had was good, but it was very quickly apparent that she was being out performed by the opposition. I was required to submit ever...y piece of information about my financials and received very little in return from the other side. Cathy would set up meetings with me and then never show. No response or acknowledgement to the missed meeting was ever given till I reached out to the owner. Less than a year later she is no longer with the firm. I have to wonder why. Because of the pandemic we had all court meetings over zoom. While my judge had a very positive view of my lawyer, what I saw was very different. Here mind set was give them everything they want. She never considered my situation and I ended up dismissing her because I couldn't get information or updates and when in court she misrepresented me to the judge. Had I known what the game plan was or had a say things may have been different, but she didn't show me the respect I deserved as her client to know what it was. Sure we discussed it, but what I saw and heard, when I did hear anything was not what was discussed. In the end I would say that when the stakes are this high she is not the person you want in your corner. Maybe she used to be better, but the person I got had lost all passion for the job and integrity to their clients. Maybe she is better at fighting for women, but as a man I would say do not trust her. After dismissing her I agreed to an unfair deal with my daughter's mother because I was out of money and time. Cathy really screwed me over.

Beware the Leving Firm! Read the fine print, or better yet, avoid them.

They filed a single 137 sanction pleading in my divorce case, and billed me over $12,000. The pleading had many embarrassing errors (such as misspelling attorneys names, getting dates wrong and omitting key facts). Their pleading needed to be withdrawn and refiled. Her firm even charged me for a r...ental car to go to court, and continued to bill me for work after I notified them that I terminated their services. Without my knowledge, consent, or even discussing it with me she hired a private investigator to investigate my ex-wife and billed me over $3,000 for this alone. Nothing helpful was found from the investigation, and when questioned about it the "billing specialist" suggested that I read the fine print from the engagement contract, which didn't say anything about giving them rights to engage private investigators without informing me. They charge you for the initial consultation, which was different from any of the other attorneys that I have dealt with. Unfortunately I have dealt with several lawyers and law firms during my prolonged divorce, and dealing with this attorney and firm is by far the worst and most stressful experience. They were very slow to follow-up and respond, and the charges were excessive for the low quality work that they did.

"I endorse this lawyer! Cathy Delgadillo from the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving is a fierce litigator. We worked long hours together on a parentage case this year that was tumultuous and very complex. Cathy never lost sight of our client's goals throughout this case. In the end, we successfully brought our client's son back home. Thanks for all you do, Cathy!"

"I endorse this lawyer. Catherine Delgadillo recently won a great victory in a difficult case. After 4 days of testimony and an indicated DCFS finding against our firm's client, Catherine convinced a Judge in Will County to remove all supervised visitation and allow our client normal, healthy unsupervised visitation. Catherine is one tough litigator who you want on your side, and who will NEVER give up!"
