About Carolyn
Biography
During law school, Carolyn was selected as one of the PILI Grant Recipients of 2019 and spent her first summer working at the Champaign County Public Defender’s office. She was then selected as the PILI fellow at the Land of Lincoln Legal Aid during her second year and spent her second summer representing low-income individuals in domestic relations, orders of protection, and expungement and sealing matters.
During the second semester of her second year, Carolyn participated in the Veterans Legal Clinic through the University of Illinois, where she represented veterans on housing, discharge upgrade, and domestic relations matters. She returned during her penultimate semester as an advanced student clinician to continue assisting her clients with their legal needs.
