It's been over for years since my near DUI. Carla didn't set unrealistic expectations for the outcome of the trial but we were very happy with the end results. Going through such a costly, emotional and timely experience like that, this attorney made me feel at ease with the process. She was very cle...ar on what was expected of me during the trial. I trusted her judgement and got a better outcome than I expected. Once I was arrested for DUI with a .179 BAC, I knew I had the long road ahead of me and I needed the best lawyer I could get. I did a lot of research and talked to many lawyers. I went with Carla because every other lawyer I spoke with made it seem like this whole thing was going to be a slam dunk an...d shared with me how many cases they had dropped or dismissed. I knew better then to fall for the trap of going with a lawyer who promises the world to me. I wanted to lawyer who was straight up with me, even if it was not an answer I wanted to hear, at least it would be the truth. With Carla's help and a bit of luck, I had the charge dropped to a Reckless Driving and no additional fines. I was shocked to go from double over, to a reckless in the court that I was in. I was arrested for DUI December 29. I called and spoke with many lawyers, in regards to helping me fight my case. I felt the most confident in Carla. You want Carla on your team. Upon recieving my D.U.I in King County last June, I knew I needed the best representation. Unfortunately that doesn't come cheap in most cases, however, I was referred from a family member and co worker to David Jolly. For example, If you are involved in any accident after consuming alcohol, it's automatically 1-3 days in jail, no negotiation & no chance of deferring to a reckless or negligent. Carla was able to negotiate my case to a reckless driving. You must take it seriously and do everything you're required to do in a timely manner though. I would hire Carla again in a minute if this situation ever occurred again. You need a confident and responsible attorney and that's Ms. Lord.
