Had a criminal case .paid lawyer in full. Told me I did not have to appear in court the first two times. Got my case continued 2 times for no fault of mine. Passed me off to another attorney from the same firm different office. Went to court on my next court date because I was told I had to appear. T...he cop that gave me the ticket was absent from court so the judge got it continued. After court the other lawyer that I was pawned off on ,took me aside and told me that someone from the office would contact me BEFORE my court date and let me know whether or not I would have to appear. Nobody ever contacted me so I assumed I did not have to appear. Had a 9am court date. Got a call at 10:20am wondering where I was. Of course if I would have known I had to be there I would have. Then I was told that they were going to try to to get me a new court date in the next few days. About a week went by and heard nothing. I emailed twice to find out when the court date would be. And one morning and almost 2 weeks later a policeman was knocking on my door with a warrant for my arrest. I spent many hours in jail that day and lost 800.00 in the total process. My young kids are also devastated that their mommy had to go to jail. Worst experience of my life .
